Partnership Opportunities
Since coming online in June (and more so since my Globe And Mail articles started running), we’ve received quite a number of questions and inquiries about possible partnerships. This is something we’d considered when we put this website together, however it’s gotten to a point where it might actually make some sense to take seriously! So, we’re going to officially open the doors to project partners — If you or your company is interested in partnering/sponsoring with us, feel free to contact me at jeremy@360winnett.com
When contacted, we’re often asked about our “media plan” and traffic numbers. I can’t say we’ve exactly got a plan, but people definitely seem to be interested in the project. Regarding media coverage, we’ve already been featured in a number of media publications and a few televisions programs. We’ve also received confirmation that we will be featured in the 2009 Green Issue of House and Home. Specifically though, here is a list of the national publications and blogs that have covered our story so far:
- The Globe And Mail (1 of 5): Stung! by the building bug
- The Globe And Mail (2 of 5): How green is green enough?
- The Toronto Star: Unless you designed it, it’s not yours
- The Toronto Star: How much greener can owners afford to go?
- The Toronto Star: Demolition sale offers up idyllic island
- CityTV: Home Energy Audits And How To Qualify For Rebates
- MoCo Loco: Weekly Features
- BlogTO: Building An Eco-Modern Home
- Torontoist: Airing Their Green Laundry in Public
- Contemporist: The Building of a Modern House in Toronto
- Architecture MNP: Greening 360 Winnett Ave.
- York Guardian: Couple looking to build smarter, greener home
Regarding our traffic numbers, we appear to have had quite a bit of traction. As of November 17th 2008, we’ve have had over 155,000 page views. What’s interesting is that the average time spent on the site is just shy of 6 minutes.

I suppose the only goal we’ve had for the site has been consistent and insightful writing. For the duration of this project, we will continue to write comprehensive articles on a regular basis. Our plan is to document every facet of this project in as much detail as possible; including the products we’ve decided to use and the partners we’ve decided to work with. Each partner will be listed in the Project Partners and the specific products we’ve used will be listed in a soon-to-launch Products page.
Beyond the website, we’re also planning on packaging everything up into a book that will feature all of the photos and content from the site. Our hope is that the book will stand as a guide for would-be homebuilders; something that will help them make decisions once they’ve begun their own projects.
